Itinerary
Florence
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Florence by 9,30am. Our driver will normally be at your address by 9,15am. We will then drive to the first winery which will take approximately 50 minutes.. NB : If you do not provide a pickup location for your private tour, our default meeting point is: Borgo Ognissanti 70, Florence, Italy.
First boutique winery
This winery has been producing wine and olive oil since the 9th century. The estate has belonged to famous families from Florence, including the Strozzi. In 1959 the Palombo family took the ownership of the business and abandoned the mixed agricultural system. Their focus on cultivating solely vines helped them achieve wine of the highest quality. Sangiovese grape represents the largest portion of grape variety planted on their territory. The long-lasting tradition of winemaking is attested by ancient cellars built during the Renaissance. Here you will tour the property, vineyard and wine cellars in which vinification takes place and wines are displayed. Afterwards, you will enjoy a Chianti-based wine tasting with a view. In the 1930s, Giuseppe Rousseau Colzi, a Florentine industrialist, purchased the property. During this time, the Fattoria was an ideal place for vacations and relaxation with family and friends, often featuring grand hunting trips and festive gatherings, while still maintaining its agricultural roots. After World War II, the Rousseau Colzi family continued managing the farm. Giuseppe was succeeded by his son Giovanni, who, along with his own son Michelangelo, revitalized the agricultural activities. It was also during this period that the agritourism business was established, which continues today under the care of Giovanni’s daughter, Gioconda Rousseau Colzi. This allows many visitors to experience the beauty of these stunning locations, nestled in the green valleys and gentle hills of Montespertoli. The farm has a dual character, both agricultural and ideal for vacation. Since its inception, it has been a place for cultivating vines, olive trees, and wheat. For generations, farming families have worked this land. In the last century, the production of wine and olive oil has taken precedence and continues to thrive today. For over five hundred years, Poggio Capponi Farm has stood atop its promontory, overlooking the hills, woods, vineyards, and olive groves, framed by one of the most enchanting panoramas in Tuscany.
Second boutique winery
This winery is a boutique winery, located in the heart of Chianti Classico since 1780, with a vineyard area of 5 hectares and an annual production of about 22,000 bottles. Savignola, whose name has Etruscan origins, was regarded as a Christian settlement and was built around the first half of the 17th century. Marked by an all-female history, it is considered one of the historic companies of the area thanks to the figure of Paolina, who was the first woman to bottle her Riserva in a Bordeaux style bottle. She brought innovation to the historical tradition of Chianti Classico. The ancient barrel cellar of the estate dates back to the 1500s where tradition and innovation come together in the production of their wine. The terroir is made up of deep clay and chalky soil and requires rigorous work to create the perfect conditions for obtaining rich, intense and long-lived wines.redefined the winery. In 2018, following the paths laid out by Alberto and Christiane, their son Robin took over management and introduced a new dimension: biodynamic agriculture.

The estate has belonged to famous families from Florence, including the Strozzi. In 1959 the Palombo family took the ownership of the business and abandoned the mixed agricultural system. Their focus on cultivating solely vines helped them achieve wine of the highest quality. Sangiovese grape represents the largest portion of grape variety planted on their territory. The long-lasting tradition of winemaking is attested by ancient cellars built during the Renaissance. Here you will tour the property, vineyard and wine cellars in which vinification takes place and wines are displayed. Afterwards, you will enjoy a Chianti-based wine tasting with a view.</p><p style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.6; color: rgb(87, 100, 111); margin-top: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em">In the 1930s, Giuseppe Rousseau Colzi, a Florentine industrialist, purchased the property. During this time, the Fattoria was an ideal place for vacations and relaxation with family and friends, often featuring grand hunting trips and festive gatherings, while still maintaining its agricultural roots. After World War II, the Rousseau Colzi family continued managing the farm. Giuseppe was succeeded by his son Giovanni, who, along with his own son Michelangelo, revitalized the agricultural activities. It was also during this period that the agritourism business was established, which continues today under the care of Giovanni’s daughter, Gioconda Rousseau Colzi. This allows many visitors to experience the beauty of these stunning locations, nestled in the green valleys and gentle hills of Montespertoli.</p><p style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.6; color: rgb(87, 100, 111); margin-top: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em">The farm has a dual character, both agricultural and ideal for vacation. Since its inception, it has been a place for cultivating vines, olive trees, and wheat. For generations, farming families have worked this land. In the last century, the production of wine and olive oil has taken precedence and continues to thrive today. For over five hundred years, Poggio Capponi Farm has stood atop its promontory, overlooking the hills, woods, vineyards, and olive groves, framed by one of the most enchanting panoramas in Tuscany.</p>

Savignola, whose name has Etruscan origins, was regarded as a Christian settlement and was built around the first half of the 17th century. Marked by an all-female history, it is considered one of the historic companies of the area thanks to the figure of Paolina, who was the first woman to bottle her Riserva in a Bordeaux style bottle. She brought innovation to the historical tradition of Chianti Classico. The ancient barrel cellar of the estate dates back to the 1500s where tradition and innovation come together in the production of their wine. The terroir is made up of deep clay and chalky soil and requires rigorous work to create the perfect conditions for obtaining rich, intense and long-lived wines.redefined the winery.
